Vernon Eugene Whitener, 54, was last seen on March 18, 2019, on the Interstate 270 bridge in St. Louis, Missouri. Witnesses reported seeing Whitener jump from the bridge into the Mississippi River. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a gray hoodie, gray pants, and a black cap. Whitener also had a distinctive scar behind his left ear.
