I’ve been thinking a lot about the place where John was found, the residence on Wayne Avenue. It’s chilling to think that a home, typically a place of safety, became the scene of such a devastating event. I can only imagine the trauma for those who lived there or nearby. It’s awful how gun violence can permeate spaces where we think we’re safe and how sudden it all can be. My heart goes out to John's loved ones and the residents of that neighborhood. They must be struggling to process this senseless act. It’s another reminder of how deeply this issue affects our communities and the pressing need to address it. If anyone’s local to that area, how has the neighborhood been handling this tragedy?
