I’ve been following the case of Wendy Rhodes and Margaret Delcour closely, and I keep thinking about the impact their loss has had on their children and grandchildren. It’s such a heavy burden for anyone, especially the younger ones, to lose someone so unexpectedly and violently. In small communities like Qulin, everyone feels the ripples of such tragedies. I can’t imagine how Wendy's kids and grandkids are coping with this immense loss. They not only have to grapple with their grief but also navigate the overwhelming attention this case must be generating. I hope their community is rallying around them and offering support. I keep coming back to the point that, in addition to justice, these families need compassion and resources to begin healing. It’s these connections and acts of kindness that will hopefully provide some comfort during such an incredibly difficult time. My heart goes out to everyone affected, and I sincerely hope they find peace and some form of resolution as the legal process unfolds.
