I recently came across the tragic case of City Marshal Joseph Fishback, Sr., and I can't stop thinking about the impact this must have had on his family. It's hard to imagine the grief his wife and children went through, losing a husband and father in such a violent manner. It's a reminder of the real human lives affected behind the headlines we read. Does anyone know if there were any community efforts to support his family after his passing, or how the town of Cannelton coped in the aftermath? It would be heartening to know how they came together during such a difficult time.
