Has anyone else read about the details surrounding the crime scene at James J. Ryon's apartment on Eastern Avenue? I've always been curious if there were ever any witnesses who heard the gunshot or noticed anything unusual on the night of his death. It seems odd that in an apartment setting, no one heard anything or came forward. I'm thinking someone must have seen or heard something that night. I wonder if the lack of witnesses is why this case went cold. My heart goes out to his family; I can't imagine how hard it must be not knowing who did this to him. If anyone has connections or remembers anything from that time, even the smallest detail could help. Cold cases make me think about all of the missed opportunities to bring closure.
