Has anyone else been following the case of Michael J. "Red" Holt? I keep thinking about the details around the lack of forced entry into his apartment. It’s chilling because it suggests that whoever did this was someone Michael either trusted enough to let in or someone who knew how to get inside without raising alarms. Considering there was no struggle, it feels like he might not have even seen it coming. This makes my heart go out to his family even more; thinking about how this might also mean they were familiar with his killer. I can’t imagine the frustration and pain they must feel, knowing the person responsible might have been someone close. It really adds another layer of sadness and complexity, doesn't it?

It's been decades since Michael "Red" Holt was tragically taken from us, and I find myself revisiting his cold case every so often. Something that's always troubled me is the ease with which the perpetrator seemed to access his apartment. With no forced entry, it feels likely that Michael knew the person and trusted them enough to let them in, which adds such a personal and unsettling dimension to this murder. I can't imagine what Red’s family has endured over the years, knowing the answers might be held by someone within the community or even by someone they knew. This angle of trust betrayed is deeply distressing, and it leaves me wondering if someone out there is still holding onto vital information. If anyone here knows more or has any insight, even after all these years, it could be the key to finally bringing justice to Michael and peace to his loved ones.
