I've been thinking about how this tragedy must have impacted not just Andrew's family, but his classmates who witnessed this horrific event. I can't imagine how traumatizing it must have been for those students who were present in the classroom that day. It must be incredibly difficult to process such a senseless act of violence happening right in front of you, especially in a place where you're supposed to feel safe and focused on learning. I hope that Purdue offered counseling and support to those affected—I think it's something all universities need to prioritize. It's just unimaginable what kind of lasting impact that day might have had on them. My thoughts are with everyone who was touched by this tragedy, and I truly hope they have found some form of peace or healing over the years.
