Terry and Mel were described as quiet by their neighbors, keeping to themselves, which makes me wonder if there were underlying issues that just weren't visible to those around them. Living in relative isolation can sometimes hide struggles that friends or family might not be aware of. I hope any other relatives or friends are able to find peace, even as they grapple with more questions than answers.
