Hi everyone,
I've been reflecting on Tony Shead and the mark he left on his community. It's truly touching to hear how beloved he was by those who worked with him at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Nearly 29 years at one place is no small feat, especially in such a demanding role as a maintenance mechanic. You can tell a lot about a person by the loyalty and dedication they give to their work, and it seems Tony was top-notch in that regard.
Being part of a work family is often like having a second set of relatives, and I can only imagine how deeply his coworkers must be feeling this loss. It's not just about losing a colleague; it's about losing someone who shared in the daily challenges and triumphs, someone who probably lent a hand or offered a smile more times than they can count.
Thinking of everyone at the hospital who knew him. I hope they find some peace and comfort in recalling all the good memories shared with Tony. This whole situation is a heavy reminder of the fragility of life and how violence touches all facets of our community. Let's hope the legal proceedings bring some closure and that lessons are learned to prevent such tragedies in the future.
Would love to hear how others think we can better support communities in healing after such a loss.
Take care,
