Has anyone else been thinking about the community ties in this case? It's so chilling to imagine how interconnected everyone's lives were—David Johnson IV, Alfred Wiley, the Lackey brothers, and even the other people who got pulled into this web of violence. It's like the whole story was intertwined from the start. My heart goes out to everyone involved; these community connections make the events feel so much more personal and devastating. Considering how closely-knit communities like Gary can be, it would be incredibly tough for the friends and family left behind. How does a community even begin to heal and move forward after something like this?

I've been following the trial against David Johnson IV, and I feel for the families involved, especially the Lackey brothers' family. What caught my attention during the trial was how the prosecution highlighted Johnson's alleged attempt to cover up his tracks by trying to retrieve the .38 revolver. It’s shocking to think that a single weapon could be central to so many tragic events. The manner in which weapons like this can circulate and be linked to multiple crimes is truly disturbing. I can't imagine the pain these families must be enduring, knowing these tragic acts were part of such a complex web of violence and revenge. My heart goes out to all of them.
