I can't stop thinking about how much Billy seemed to love his family and the local community. The fact that his celebration of life was held at the Arena at Alexandria Fairgrounds says a lot about the impact he had on those around him. The arena must have held so many memories for him and his loved ones, especially with his love for barrel racing and the cowboy lifestyle. It's comforting to think about all those family gatherings and moments he shared with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I hope his family finds peace in those cherished memories during this difficult time.
I've been following Billy Joe Cox's story, and something that really stands out to me is his love for woodworking and the years he spent barrel racing. It seems like he was a man who truly appreciated the little joys in life and sought out his passions. Woodworking, in particular, can be such a meditative and skillful hobby—it's like leaving a piece of yourself in everything you create. I wonder if he made anything special for his family that they still cherish today. It’s heartening to think about him sharing that love with his grandchildren, perhaps crafting toys or furniture for them, and keeping his cowboy spirit alive even when he wasn’t on horseback. His passing must have left a significant void in such a close-knit family. My thoughts are with them as they remember him and keep his spirit alive through their own lives and memories.
