I’ve been looking through some articles and noticed that there have been similar incidents at Deer Creek over the years. With the way the water levels rise after storms, it seems like a dangerous spot, especially for kids. I really think the city or the park authorities should consider installing some sort of barriers or warning signs near the creek to prevent these accidents. It breaks my heart thinking about poor Owen and how quickly the situation became deadly. I wonder if the town has taken any steps since his disappearance to address these safety concerns? It would be good to know they’re doing something to prevent future tragedies.
