Has anyone here been following the case of Terry L. Smith Jr.? It's absolutely devastating what happened on that August morning in Lafayette. I've been thinking a lot about how this might affect his family, especially his sons and grandkids. Losing a father and grandfather in such a violent way must be beyond traumatic.
What's really puzzling to me is how there still haven't been any arrests. With all the evidence like the shell casings and firearm found at the scene, you'd think there would be some leads by now. It's been over eight years, and the family deserves some answers and justice.
For those local to Lafayette, how has the community been dealing with this? And does anyone know if there's been any new information released? Keeping Terry and Aaron's families in my thoughts and hoping for resolution sooner rather than later.
It's been over eight years since the tragic morning when Terry L. Smith Jr. and Aaron Tyrone Hunter Jr. lost their lives, and I still can't stop thinking about how senseless it all feels. Terry had already gone through so much, losing his wife just a year before, and having to leave his parents, sons, sisters, and especially his grandkids behind like this? It's just so hard to comprehend.
I wonder if anyone knows more about any potential disputes or issues Terry might have had leading up to that day. The fact that there were two victims makes me suspect it wasn't random. I hope the police are still actively pursuing leads and that new information comes to light soon. If anyone has heard any rumors or new details, it might be helpful to the investigation. Let's hope justice is served for Terry and Aaron—and that their loved ones find some peace and closure.
