I came across the case of Coriana Johnson and Makayla Mitchell while reading about unsolved and solved crimes in Indianapolis, and it just struck me so deeply. I can't stop thinking about their families and what they must have gone through during the trial. It’s so unsettling to think about how two young lives full of potential were cut short so violently. One detail that stands out to me is the huge difference between Moore’s and McGee's sentences. It just got me wondering about how the court distinguishes between different levels of involvement in crimes like these. I'm curious if anyone has insights into why there might be such a drastic difference in their sentences. Whatever the legal reasoning, nothing can truly make up for the loss that Coriana and Makayla’s loved ones have faced, but understanding the judicial process might provide some perspective. Sending my thoughts to everyone affected by this senseless tragedy.
