Hey everyone, I've been following the case of India Barnes and Tomika Mack, and something that's been on my mind is the role of the halfway house in this tragedy. It's incredibly sad to think about how these spaces, meant to be safe havens for people trying to rebuild their lives, ended up being the backdrop for such a horrific event. I wonder if there were any security measures in place and if more could have been done to prevent this tragic loss of life. It's just heartbreaking for both women who were trying to move forward. My thoughts go out to their families and friends who were undoubtedly devastated by this senseless act. Has anyone heard more about how this aspect played into the investigation or any changes that might have been implemented to prevent future tragedies in similar settings?
