Has anyone else been following the psychological aspect of the Daniel James Smith case? I’ve been thinking so much about the legal outcome and how it impacts both the victim's family and the community. From what I've read, Smith claimed that a brain implant influenced his actions. It's just so hard to wrap my head around that. The court declared him not responsible by reason of insanity, but what does that really mean for justice? It's troubling to think that Freddie Patterson's loved ones might be left without a sense of closure. Mental health issues are so complex, and while I understand the legal standpoint, I just can't imagine how frustrating and painful this must be for those close to Freddie. It’s such a difficult situation all around.
