Hey everyone,
I'm feeling really weighed down thinking about Nerva Singleton's case. I've been following it closely, like many of you, and can't stop thinking about the neighborhood’s reaction. It's hard to comprehend such violence disrupting what sounds like a peaceful community. From what neighbors have shared, Dobbs Ferry Drive was this calm spot where everyone felt safe, and families just went about their normal lives. It's deeply unsettling that something like this could happen in a place where children play freely and neighbors watch out for one another.
I keep wondering if the shooter was familiar with the area or if it was more random. It's terrifying to imagine the kind of fear that must have been away through the community after this. I hope that anyone who might have seen or heard something, even if it seems small, will come forward and help bring some clarity to this senseless act. My thoughts are with Nerva's children and everyone who knew and loved her. No family should have to endure what they've been through. ?

I can't believe it's been years, and still no answers for Nerva's family. ? I keep thinking about her poor kids, especially Jana, who had to experience such a traumatic event at such a vulnerable time in her life. What an awful responsibility, finding her mother like that. I've seen how being the eldest can sometimes make you feel like you need to hold it together for everyone else, even when you're in pieces yourself.
It's so hard to make sense of such a random and brutal act, especially in a community that's described as peaceful. My heart goes out to every person who loved Nerva and is still waiting for closure. It's just so senseless and harrowing. Hopefully, with more awareness and time, someone with information will finally step up. We can't let this case go cold. Keeping Nerva and her family in my thoughts. ??
