I’ve been following the case of Mark J. Craig's murder back in 2016, and something that stands out to me is how it highlights the challenge of policing in areas not specifically marked as "high-crime" zones. It’s frustrating to think about how crime can be so unpredictable and how cases as tragic as Mark’s can slip through the cracks simply because they don't happen in expected areas. My heart goes out to his family and friends who have had to endure this loss without closure. It makes me wonder if there could be a more flexible approach to crime prevention that accounts for this unpredictability. I feel like there needs to be a reevaluation of resources and strategies to better protect all neighborhoods, not just the ones flagged as hot spots. Any thoughts or insights on this?
