I feel for Jessica's family and close friends as they continue to grapple with this tragedy. I wanted to bring up the plea deal aspect in this case. It puzzles me how Morgan's initial charge of murder shifted to reckless homicide with just a six-year sentence. I understand that plea deals can be complicated, often designed to ensure someone is held accountable, but six years feels incredibly light given the severity of the case. I can't help but think about Jessica’s loved ones and how they must feel knowing that her life was cut short and that the person involved is facing such a minimal consequence. Are there any legal experts here who can shed light on why such plea deals happen in cases like these? It seems to add to the grief for those who are still yearning for justice.
