I've been thinking a lot about the area where James Clark was found. For those unfamiliar with Gary, the 3000 block of West 9th Avenue isn’t exactly known for being a safe location. It just bothers me that young people like James, with their whole lives ahead of them, end up victims of violence in these neighborhoods. It really gets you thinking about what can be done to improve safety and prevent another tragedy like this from happening. It’s so important for the community to come together and support each other, both in assisting with investigations and working towards long-term solutions for reducing violence. My heart goes out to James’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. I hope they find the answers and justice they deserve. If anyone has ideas or ways we can help, it’d be good to hear those too.
