I just can't get over how easily tragedies like this could be avoided with proper gun safety measures. D'Asia Turentine's story still haunts me when I think about how quickly a moment of inattention can change so many lives forever. As a mother, I can't imagine the anguish Asia must feel every day knowing this could have been prevented. It's truly a wake-up call for all gun owners, especially those with children in the home. We often think "it won't happen to me" until it does, and then it's too late.
