Hi everyone,
I wanted to talk about something that’s been on my mind since learning about the tragic events at the Lodge apartments. I can’t stop thinking about that one-year-old girl who survived. It’s heartbreaking to think she lost her mother, Takara Coleman, in such a horrific way. I keep wondering how she's doing now and who is taking care of her. It’s a painful reminder of how many lives are impacted by such senseless violence, not just those who lost their lives but also the families left behind to pick up the pieces.
Seeing the community come together, from Pastor Wayne Moore to the apartment management cooperating with the police, gives me a bit of hope. But it makes me wonder how we can do more to prevent these tragedies from happening in the first place. The delay in reporting the gunshots is a gut punch. I completely understand people’s hesitation in certain neighborhoods, but it just makes you think about the what-ifs.
If anyone out there knows anything, even if it seems small or insignificant, please consider reaching out to Crime Stoppers. It could make all the difference in bringing justice to Cameron, Takara, Lisa, and their families.
Stay safe, everyone.
I came across this case and couldn't stop thinking about the moments before the police arrived. Imagine being in the vicinity and hearing gunshots without knowing the danger that was unfolding. It's deeply unsettling to hear there was a delay before someone finally made the call. I wonder what might have held people back from dialing 911 sooner. Fear? Not wanting to get involved? Sometimes, it's also about not realizing the seriousness of what you hear until it's too late.
It's reassuring to know Pastor Wayne Moore and other community leaders are stepping in to support the victims' families and even offer a safe surrender. Their involvement shows the strength and resilience of the community in the face of such tragedy.
My heart goes out to Takara Coleman's little one. Losing your mom at such an early age is an unimaginable start to life. If anyone reading this knows something, please consider reaching out to Crime Stoppers or the authorities. Just a small piece of information could be key to bringing some justice and closure to those who've lost so much.
