Hi everyone, I wanted to talk about something that's been on my mind regarding Jasmine Simone Moore's case and the community's response. It's just so touching to see how the local community has rallied around her family, despite the tragedy and fear surrounding the events on that heartbreaking day. I've read so many posts and comments from people who didn't even know Jasmine personally but felt compelled to share their condolences and support. There was a candlelight vigil organized on Tremont Street not long after the incident, where Jasmine's friends and residents came together to honor her memory. I couldn’t attend, but I heard it was a beautiful way to remember Jasmine's life and bring awareness to the ongoing issues of violence we face here in Indianapolis. It’s moments like these that show how powerful community support can be in times of grief. For those of you who joined or know people who did, what was the atmosphere like? Did it feel like there was a strong sense of hope or determination to seek justice and push for change? Sending love to Jasmine's family and her little boy—hoping for answers soon. Stay safe out there, everyone.
