I’ve been following the Evansville double homicide case, particularly the chilling aspect of Hackner's past legal troubles. It's deeply concerning how someone with such a record managed to be out of jail just a week before committing these heinous crimes. The system seems to have let Mary and Dewone down; you'd think tougher restrictions would be in place to prevent someone like Hackner from being released. I can’t imagine the pain their families are going through, knowing this tragedy might have been prevented had things been handled differently. It's a stark reminder of the gaps in our legal system. Has there been any movement towards addressing repeat offenders since this case? My heart goes out to the families and friends who have endured so much.
