Hey everyone,
I've been puzzled by something in Thomas Joshua Hayes' missing case. Has anyone dug into his background or noticed how health issues might have played a role? Given that Josh was experiencing respiratory problems before his disappearance, I wonder if this could have led him to seek medical help somewhere far from his usual spots in Astoria or Long Beach. The fact that he might have had an undiagnosed illness makes me think he could've been trying to find answers on his own.
Does anyone know if there were any local clinics or hospitals he might have linked up with, possibly even outside of the usual areas we’d consider? I feel like this angle about his health hasn't been fully explored. If anyone has any insights or theories on where he might have gone seeking help, it could be a step in the right direction. Let's hope we uncover something soon.

I was reading through the threads and noticed there's quite a bit about Thomas Joshua Hayes' health issues, but has there been any discussion about his backpack? I know sometimes what's inside can provide leads or give us a better understanding of his state of mind when he disappeared. Also, given that he left for Long Beach, did anyone check if he might have had any acquaintances or places he frequented there? It seems like someone should’ve recognized him or remembered seeing him with that distinct red t-shirt if he reached out to anyone or was just around town, especially in a place the size of Long Beach. I hope the investigators are considering all these angles.
Has anyone else come across any info about the backpack Josh was carrying when he disappeared? I read somewhere that it was a pretty distinctive one, maybe a darker color with some patches on it. If he was indeed experiencing respiratory issues, I wonder if he kept any medication or inhalers in there? Could be something worth looking into if anyone spots a similar backpack around town or near Long Beach. Hoping this detail can help jog someone’s memory or lead to new insights. Keep sharing anything that might seem small—sometimes those small leads are what help the most. Stay safe out there, everyone.
Has anyone looked into the possibility that Josh "Worm" Hayes might have sought shelter due to his health issues? I've read about cases where people feeling unwell seek out a quiet place to rest and inadvertently make themselves difficult to find. Long Beach has some secluded areas where someone trying to gather their strength might go. If search efforts haven't focused much on those kinds of spots, it might be worth revisiting them. Also, are there any shelters or places he might have been familiar with that could have offered him some comfort during that time? Just a thought.
