I'm still reeling over how quickly the community lost such a cherished neighbor like John A. Horvat. I can't even begin to imagine what his family is going through right now. It got me thinking about the role of technology in solving crimes. The fact that Hammond's Blue Net license plate reader system was instrumental in tracking down the suspect, Bruce Craft, is pretty remarkable. The way these tools can pinpoint vital information so swiftly is almost like a digital breadcrumb trail. As much as all this tech can feel invasive at times, I find a bit of comfort knowing it can help bring justice for victims and their families. It won't bring John back, but maybe it'll help his loved ones find some peace as the case unfolds. Does anyone else find these technological tools a bit of a double-edged sword in our day-to-day lives?
