I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of peer pressure and how it might have impacted the events leading up to Antwone's tragic death. It’s so upsetting to imagine how decisions made in the heat of the moment can have such devastating consequences. With this clash between groups, it seems like tensions and bravado might have escalated things beyond what any of these teens imagined would happen. I just wish they could have stopped to think about the life they'd be shattering. Antwone was clearly headed towards a bright future—it's incredibly sad to see how swiftly that's been taken away. His poor family. Has there been any talk about what steps schools might take to address these kinds of confrontations? This is just unbelievably sad for everyone involved.
