Hey everyone, I've been thinking about the community response to the tragic loss of Ervin “Frankie” Pirtle Jr. It’s incredibly tough to imagine what his family and friends must be going through, especially since there haven't been any significant leads or arrests in his case. I noticed there was a huge gathering at his funeral, showing just how loved and respected he was in Gary and beyond. It's moments like these that highlight the strength and unity in communities when they're faced with unimaginable losses. It’s truly moving to see how many people came together to honor Frankie's memory and pay their respects. If any of you are from around the area or have attended similar community gatherings, how much do you think these events help in keeping the memory of the victims alive and possibly even aid in uncovering new information? Coming together like this seems to speak volumes not only about the person we've lost but also about a community's hope for justice. Keeping the memory alive could remind everyone that unanswered questions still need attention. Any thoughts or similar experiences? I’d love to hear how communities have helped keep the search for justice going. Sending light to Frankie's loved ones. Stay safe, everyone.
