I recently came across the case of Kahdor T. Wilson, and it's truly devastating. What really stood out to me was the tragic scene at the home on North Guilford Avenue. It's hard to imagine the fear and chaos that must have erupted during those moments. I can't help but feel for Deborah Cooper, who not only lost her grandson and son in such a violent way but also survived an injury herself. Recovering physically is one thing, but emotionally—it must be incredibly challenging. The impact on her life must be immense, and I hope she has a strong support system around her. It’s yet another reminder of how important it is to have resources available for families affected by violence, not just immediately but in the long term too. What can communities do to better respond and prevent these situations from happening in the first place?
