I can't stop thinking about the role the community plays in cases like Damarius Carr's. It’s clear the people of Gary, Indiana, are hurting deeply and want justice for him. I’m wondering if there are community organizations or local efforts focused on addressing and preventing violence in the area. It's crucial to support initiatives that lift up young individuals and provide resources to prevent these tragic outcomes. Also, creating spaces for conversations around healing and peace could be vital. Anyone here aware of any grassroots movements or community leaders spearheading such efforts in Gary? It would be reassuring to know there are proactive steps being taken to honor Damarius' memory and protect future generations.
