I've been reading up on the case of Jalen Roberts and the other young men who lost their lives in such a violent way. What really sticks with me is the shattered back patio door. I can't stop thinking about that moment when these young men realized something terrible was about to happen. It's haunting to imagine their fear and the courage they might have shown in those last moments. My heart goes out to their families and friends who are left with so many questions and an irreplaceable void in their lives. How do you ever reconcile the loss of your loved ones in such an incomprehensible manner? And for the larger community, that broken door symbolizes a peace that was shattered forever. My thoughts are with everyone struggling to find peace and justice in the wake of this tragedy.
