Has anyone looked into the possibility that the area where Joseph Patton Jr. was first shot might have some surveillance cameras? Given that it was the 900 block of Dayman Street, I'm thinking there's a chance some local businesses or homes might have caught something on video, even if it's just a glimpse of a suspect or vehicle involved. It's awful that Joseph tried to escape his attacker and ended up crashing a few blocks away. It must have been terrifying for him, and devastating for his loved ones to know he fought so hard to survive. If anyone's from that area, maybe there's a chance you could ask around or check with any nearby places that might have footage from that night. Any little detail might help bring some closure to Joseph’s family. I just hope someone can step forward with information soon.
Has anyone else been following the developments in the Joseph Patton Jr. case? I can't stop thinking about the SWAT situation at the residence they thought was connected to the shooting. It must have been incredibly tense for everyone involved, especially for the woman who was detained and then released. I can't imagine being in that position, caught up in such a tragic situation.
I feel for Joseph's family and friends, knowing they have to deal with not just his loss, but also the uncertainty surrounding what happened. It’s really puzzling that no solid leads have come to light yet, even though this happened in 2017. It's concerning that it's possibly gang-related, making me wonder about the fear and silence that might be affecting witnesses or people who know something.
It feels like there should be more conversations around community support to help those who might have information feel safe to come forward. If anyone has any new insights or ideas about what could be done, it would be great to discuss. Keeping Joseph's memory alive and pushing for answers is so important. Hope his loved ones get the closure they need soon.
