Has anyone else been following the updates on the Conoco gas station shooting case? I can't stop thinking about how senseless this whole tragedy is. I was reading about how Keijuan Baker was just an innocent bystander, completely caught off guard. It's unbearably sad to think about families expecting their loved ones to come home, only to receive the worst news imaginable instead. I really admire the efforts of Mariah Strother’s family in trying to bring this case to light. Hosting vigils and offering rewards can’t be an easy thing to do when you’re suffering so much. It’s like they’ve taken on a mission to bring justice not just for Mariah, but for Keijuan and possibly other victims too. Their courage is nothing short of amazing. Does anyone have any thoughts on what more could be done to encourage witnesses to step forward? I understand the fear of retaliation, but there must be some way to protect those who choose to speak up. I hope the community can rally around these families, help get some answers, and hopefully bring some peace to all those affected.
