I came across Kerry Anne Tucker Cousins' case and felt compelled to join this discussion. It's incredibly difficult to imagine what her family must be going through, especially her children who were there that terrible day. I wanted to bring up the role of community and how we can make sure that families like Kerry's receive ongoing support in the aftermath of such an event. There's a GoFundMe campaign set up for Kerry’s children, which is such a testament to the community wanting to help, but what happens months or years down the line? How do we continue to provide support from afar? Maybe others have insights on programs or networks that can assist families affected by domestic violence even long after the initial spotlight has faded. It's important we keep conversations like these going to maintain that support and awareness. If anyone has suggestions on ways to help, I'm eager to hear them.
