Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Santiago Prado, and something that’s been on my mind is the location where the tragedy happened. The 1300 block of North Kealing Avenue seems to be a particularly troubling area, with Santiago’s case being just one of several homicides around that time. I can’t imagine what his family must be going through, knowing this pattern of violence exists in their community. What's really bothering me is the lack of witnesses. It's the middle of the day – you'd think someone would have seen or heard something. It makes me wonder if people are scared to come forward, which is understandable, but also makes it harder for those seeking justice for Santiago. I really feel for his family and friends. They deserve answers and some semblance of peace. This community really needs to come together to push for change and provide any information they might have. It’s going to take all of us speaking up to make these streets safer. If there’s any locals here or anyone who might know something, the IMPD still wants to hear from you. Every little bit helps.
