Has anyone else looked into the area around Moffett Field back in '68? I've always thought it might be significant that Doug and his VW disappeared so close to the base. It seems like a tight-knit community, and you'd think someone might have noticed something unusual. I've read old articles and it's always struck me odd that there's so little on the car itself. I mean, a white '67 Volkswagen coupe would stand out nowadays, and surely even more so back then. Could it have been hidden nearby and just missed? Maybe someone on here has some expertise in using technology or historical aerial photos to see if any cars might have been abandoned or buried near the site. Always worth a try to explore new angles after all these years. Thoughts?
