I've been thinking a lot about Asael's last moments and what it must have been like for him to walk into that restaurant after being shot. Imagine how confused and scared the restaurant staff must have felt trying to help him. It takes a lot of courage to step in and do what they did—calling 911 and trying to assist. It's so important for us to recognize the impact this kind of violence has on everyone involved, not just the victim and their family. I hope that any small piece of information someone might have can come to light, so his family can find some peace and those employees can feel like justice has been served for Asael. Holding onto hope that the community's support can lead to answers.
