Has anyone else looked into the type of plane Ulver rented before his disappearance? I've been digging around and found that small aircraft rentals back in the '70s were not always well-documented. It's weird because you’d think there would be some kind of paper trail with the flight plan or even just a list at the rental place. It's bugging me that we don't know more about this. Could it be that the records are just lost or that they never existed in the first place? Maybe someone with more knowledge about aviation history could shed some light on the standard procedures back then. Any thoughts on how we might find more info about the plane or its route?
Just came across this case about Ulver and there's something intriguing I found about his art background. Given his degree in studio art from Sonoma State, it makes me wonder if his disappearance could be tied to his interests or connections in the art world. Did he possibly have an art gig or exhibition or even a collector to meet in Detroit? It's a bit strange, considering he rented a plane himself. Anyone know if he had notable works or connections that could provide clues? I've been looking into cases of artists who have gone missing, and sometimes their network or upcoming projects can lead to unexpected insights. If anyone has more info on his art or connections, it could be worth exploring!
Hey everyone. I've been going down a rabbit hole regarding Ulver's disappearance in 1977. One thing that's been bugging me is why he rented a plane instead of taking a commercial flight. I know it was a long time ago, but were private plane rentals that common for personal trips back then, especially for such a long-distance flight from South Dakota to Michigan? I mean, did he have experience flying or any connections in aviation? Or could there have been a specific reason he chose this method of travel? It just seems like a really unusual part of his case that sticks out. Anyone have thoughts or insights on this aspect?
