I can't stop thinking about the role that Mary Felton played in the Gary community. It’s truly devastating to lose someone who dedicated so much of her life to making her city a better place. From everything I've read, she seemed like an incredible person who truly cared for those around her. The fact that she continued to serve the public even into her 70s speaks volumes about her character and commitment. I came across a touching quote from Mary’s son, Melvin, describing how deeply she loved her family and community. It really struck a chord with me. It’s important that we remember her for the kindness and dedication she showed throughout her life. Does anyone have insights into how we can support her family or help preserve her legacy? I think keeping her spirit alive through community initiatives would be a fitting tribute to someone who gave so much of herself to others. Let's hope justice continues to be served, and we find ways to honor Mary's impactful life.
