I can’t stop thinking about how contradictory things become at times like these; a family gathering meant for togetherness and connection ended with such a devastating loss. It's a reminder of how quickly things can escalate and how important it is to find non-violent ways to resolve disagreements. My heart goes out to Doris's family and all those affected by this tragedy.
