I recently came across a touching piece about Da’Tara Johnson's community memorial and wanted to share it here. The neighborhood held a candlelight vigil a few days after her tragic passing, and it's clear she was loved by so many. Friends and family gathered to remember the bright, beautiful soul she was. People shared stories about her contagious laughter and kindness. It's moments like these that remind us how connected we are and how these senseless acts of violence ripple through entire communities. My heart goes out to Da’Tara’s family and friends. It’s so crucial that we come together to promote peace and look out for the youth in our neighborhoods, who deserve to grow up in safe, nurturing environments. If anyone attended the vigil or knows more about the community's efforts in her memory, I’d love to hear about it.
