Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Robert Silvestre's case, and something that's really stuck with me is the location where everything happened. It's just so baffling to me. Homerlee Avenue seems pretty out of the way for someone from Calumet City. Does anyone know of any connections Robert might have had in East Chicago, or is it possible he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time? I'm trying to wrap my head around the idea of why he was there that night. It feels like figuring out this part of the story could really shift our understanding of what happened and why. Sending a lot of love to Robert’s family and friends. They deserve answers, and I hope justice is served soon. If anyone's digging into location-based leads or theories, I’d love to hear them. Stay safe, everyone.

I've been following the case of Robert Silvestre, and I'm struck by the details of that night—especially the way the emergency response unfolded. It's haunting to think about what the female victim must have experienced, sitting there in shock and trying to get help after being shot herself. I can’t even imagine the terror and pain she must have felt trying to save Robert or make sense of what had just happened. It's clear that sharing what she witnessed is crucial to the investigation, but I hope people remember that she’s also a victim in this tragedy. I’m sending thoughts of strength her way, hoping she has a strong support system around her. Her bravery in reaching out to the officers might be a pivotal point in solving this case. We should definitely support any efforts to help the East Chicago Police gather more information. If anyone reading this knows something, even if it seems small or insignificant, please consider reaching out to Detective Washington. Robert and the people who loved him deserve answers and peace. How do the rest of you think communities like ours can better support investigations like these and the people affected by them?

Does anyone else find it strange that Robert's SUV was parked with hazard lights on when the police arrived? In so many cases involving gunshots or violence, it seems like perpetrators usually try to make a quick getaway. The fact that the SUV was stationary, with the hazards flashing, makes me wonder if it was an attempt to draw attention from anyone passing by. Could it be that Robert or the other victim turned them on hoping someone would see them and come to help? Or was it an attempt by the shooter(s) to stage the scene a certain way? My heart really goes out to Robert's family and especially his young son. This detail just seems so puzzling to me, and I hope it can somehow help lead to answers.
