Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Kerwin Pollard's tragic case and wanted to discuss the role of the Offer Up marketplace in this horrible event. It's terrifying how something as simple as using a marketplace app to sell clothes could end in such devastating violence. Kerwin and his fiancée were just trying to grow their business, which makes this even more senseless. I can't imagine what his fiancée went through, being in such a horrific situation and losing a loved one in front of her eyes. It's crucial for us to keep in mind the potential dangers associated with meeting strangers for sales, no matter how normal it might seem. Could there have been more systems in place, either on the app's side or legally, to prevent something like this? I’m curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on what additional safety measures could be implemented to ensure safer transactions. My heart goes out to Kerwin’s family and friends during this unbelievably difficult time.

Has anyone else been thinking about the role of online marketplaces like OfferUp in cases like Kerwin Pollard's? I mean, they can be an amazing platform for people to sell and buy things, but it scares me to think how quickly things can escalate into violence. Pollard seemed like such a hardworking, entrepreneurial guy, just out there trying to make a living. ? I wish there was a better way to ensure safety during these transactions. It's a devastating loss for his fiancée and their families, who just wanted a calm day of doing business. Have any of you changed the way you use these platforms since hearing about this case? Sending love to all those affected. ?
