I can’t stop thinking about the community vigil that was held for Da’Vonta and Isaiah last week. The turnout was incredible, with so many people coming together to honor these young boys and show support for their families. It’s clear how much they were loved and how deeply this has affected everyone in the neighborhood. I was so moved by Chiquanna White’s words, as she described Da’Vonta’s vibrant spirit and his love for basketball and his family. It breaks my heart that a mother has to speak of her child in past tense. We need to keep this conversation going and demand more action from authorities and the community to prevent further tragedies. Let’s continue to support the families and keep pressing for information. If anyone knows anything, please, please speak up.
