I was reading about the lives of the victims, especially David Anthony Macke, and it just makes you think about how fragile life really is. The reports say David was 68, likely looking forward to peaceful years ahead, whether that meant enjoying retirement or spending more time with loved ones. It's hard to wrap my head around how someone so close to the sunset years can be taken so suddenly and violently. The Evansville community must be really feeling the weight of these losses, especially within the tight-knit circles of friends and family who knew David and Kara. I hope they find comfort in the memories shared and the support from others who care. It's in times like these that communities need to hold each other a little closer. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this senseless act of violence.
