I've been following this case closely, and I can't stop thinking about the role technology played in bringing Ervin Crabtree's killers to justice. Isn't it astounding how the Ring doorbell footage essentially helped seal the case against Jerry Poge? This makes you think about how much modern technology is changing the landscape of criminal investigations. My heart goes out to Crabtree's family, especially his kids who had to endure such a terrifying experience. I can’t imagine the trauma they’re dealing with. While nothing can truly make up for their loss, I'm relieved the justice system was able to utilize all available resources to give them some closure. It's a grim reminder of the times we live in and the importance of community vigilance. What are your thoughts? How do you think similar technology can be used to prevent such tragedies in the future?
