I've been following the discussions about Vijay Viswan's tragic passing, and I can't stop thinking about the larger issue of mental health support for students. While it's important to honor and remember Vijay's life, it begs the question: are universities doing enough to support their students emotionally? Purdue University has expressed condolences and mentioned available resources, but words only go so far. It's a reminder for us all to push for more robust mental health services across campuses. It's shocking to see that this is the second incident at the same gun range involving a student. It can't just be a coincidence, can it? Something has to change to prevent such loss in the future. My heart goes out to Vijay's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. Let's hope this raises more awareness and leads to meaningful action.
