I've been following the Rodney Hays case with great concern, and the more I hear about it, the more it breaks my heart. While justice needs to be served, I hope the investigation includes a thorough look into Shawn's mental state. It's so important that these complex cases get fully understood so we can prevent anything like this from happening again. My thoughts are with the entire Hays family and the small community of Mitchell as they navigate this painful time.
