Does anyone else find it curious that Marshall Hamilton's business dealings haven't been more of a focus in the investigation? Running a septic tank business in 1975 might not sound like a career loaded with intrigue, but those types of services bring you in contact with a lot of different people and potentially some shady deals. Could there have been a business dispute or an unpaid debt that led to his murder? It might be worth considering if there's more to explore on that front. Just putting it out there in case it sparks some thoughts for someone who might remember something from those days. My heart goes out to Marshall's family and friends who have been waiting for answers all these years. Such a shame this is still unresolved after so long. Let's hope someone comes forward with something useful soon.
Hey folks,
I've been following the cold case of Marshall Hamilton's murder with great interest, mainly because of how deeply connected he was with the Virginia Beach community. I was wondering if anyone here knows more about the community in the vicinity of Shurney Lane back in the 70s. It's striking how this neighborhood seemed so tight-knit, yet this tragedy has gone unsolved for all these decades.
There were apparently several people around that night, and I'm curious if the neighborhood dynamics at the time might have played a role in why these witnesses didn’t, or couldn’t, come forward with information. Could it have been fear, or perhaps loyalty keeping them silent? It's just so frustrating to think that people might be holding onto vital information that could offer closure not only to the police but also to Mr. Hamilton’s loved ones who have lived with this loss for so long.
If anyone has stories or insights about the area back then, it might help us piece together why this case remains unsolved. Maybe a new perspective could jog someone’s memory to finally come forward. Let's keep this discussion respectful and directed towards finding justice for Marshall.
