I was recently thinking about the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic Shoney's robbery in 1978. I can't begin to imagine the pain they went through, especially given the brutal nature of the crime. I was particularly struck by how the community responded at the time. Does anyone here remember any specific community efforts or memorials that were created in memory of Franklin Cooley, Steven Staples, and Agnes Hicks? It's crucial that we remember these victims not just for how they died, but also for how they lived. If anyone has stories that celebrate their lives or the efforts to support their families, I’d love to hear them. It's important to keep their memories alive.
